Behind the directory
How we research roofing company profiles
A useful shortlist starts with something you can check.
We look for companies with published commercial roofing services, a Canadian location or explicit service area, a working official website and enough public information to create a useful profile. The initial directory contains 48 distinct company groups, rather than counting every branch as a separate company.
Companies appear alphabetically. The homepage shows a regional sample. We do not assign a numerical quality score or claim that inclusion means a company is the best choice for your project.
Different sources establish different facts.
- Company websites describe their services, materials, history and coverage.
- Association directories can establish a listing; a company-stated membership is labelled as such.
- BBB profile availability and accreditation are recorded separately. A profile is not the same thing as accreditation, a letter rating or a review average.
- Founding, incorporation, acquisition and predecessor history can refer to different dates. Where the evidence is unclear, the founding year stays unconfirmed.
Each profile links to its public sources and records when the research was checked. A missing detail is an information gap, not a negative finding about the company.
Coverage is not an office.
A company may advertise work in a province while operating from an office elsewhere. We keep the primary location and published service coverage separate. City pages require explicit matching city information and at least two researched company profiles. We do not generate every possible city and roof-system combination.
About the logos and images.
Company logos are sourced from official sites or their linked brand assets and remain the property of their owners. Original inline logos are retained faithfully. Where a standalone logo cannot be established, the company name is shown as text. The directory’s own roofing scenes are generated illustrations, labelled on the page, rather than photographs of listed companies or their work.
Keep the last check close to your decision.
Services, ownership, credentials and availability can change. Confirm the business entity, team, scope, insurance and proposed contract directly. This directory does not certify workmanship or distribute quote requests.
